· Do I need a Physician’s referral to be treated at Valley Rehab? No. Physical/Occupational Therapists in the state of Arizona have “direct access” to patients who have been previously diagnosed. However, most insurance plans require a Physician’s referral. If your insurance carrier requires a referral, you still have the right to choose your own therapist. Let your Physician know your choice!
· Will my insurance pay for therapy? Valley Rehab is a preferred provider with numerous managed care contracts as well as individual plans. We also provide services for patients covered under Worker’s Compensation, Medicare and Mercy Care. Please call us with any questions regarding your insurance benefits.
· I don’t have insurance or have limited coverage. What are my payment options? Valley Rehab is supportive of both your health and financial needs, and will work with you to arrange payment plans. We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
· Do you accept walk-in’s? Due to the nature of the care we provide, appointments are required. However, we are able to accommodate same-day and splint fabrication appointments in urgent situations. If same-day is not necessary, all patients will be accommodated within 24 to 48 hours.
· How many visits will I need and how long will they last? Many factors, including pre-existing conditions, diagnosis, and lifestyle will impact how many visits will be required. We will work closely with your Physician to return you to your desired level of activity as quickly and as safely as possible. Each appointment will vary, but will typically last 60 to 90 minutes.
· What should I wear? Due to the nature of therapy exercise programs, loose fitting or athletic attire is suggested. Tennis/gym shoes are highly recommended.
